Line 1 Hockey is a Richmond, VA based hockey training company offering comprehensive on and off-ice training and development. We provide tailored coaching through hockey-specific workouts and advanced skill drills, designed to elevate our athletes to higher competitive levels in hockey. Our organization is dedicated to teaching players how to train like professionals while motivating them to chase their dreams of playing at higher levels.

Stian Owens

Stian grew up in Midlothian, Virginia and played house league in the area until playing U18 AAA. From there he went on to play juniors and eventually landed at the Milwaukee School of Engineering playing over 100 games at the NCAA Division 3 level. He served as the assistant captain in his final year and graduated with degrees in construction management and business administration. After graduating, Stian continues to follow his passion in hockey and has become both a AAA coach with the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals and a NASM certified personal trainer. His goal is to continue working with hockey players to help them pursue their dreams of playing at the highest levels.

Justin Owens

Justin grew up in Midlothian, Virginia and played in the area until he was 15. He graduated from Virginia Tech and has since followed his reignited passion for hockey. He is an ISSA certified personal trainer and works with players to develop off ice strength and conditioning. Justin is also a skills coach with the Richmond Generals. His focus on player development led him to help start Line 1 Hockey where he continues his passion for helping hockey players. Like his athletes, Justin also hopes to make it to the top levels of the game, but as a coach.

Stefan Owens

Stefan grew up in Midlothian, Virginia and played house league and travel in the area until he was able to reach the junior level. After playing 3 seasons with the Richmond Generals in the USPHL, he moved up to play with the Maine Nordiques in the NAHL. Following his tenure in Maine, Stefan was able to commit to UMass Lowell, where he is currently in his Senior year. Stefan hopes to inspire the next generation of hockey players and use his experience to teach what it takes to make it to the next level.
